Why we’re sharing this
Kartus was founded on the idea that outdoor freedom should be affordable and accessible to everyone. A recent change to U.S. import rules has made that promise a little harder to keep—for now. We want to be fully transparent about what’s going on and how it affects you.
What’s happening?

A temporary 25 % import tariff is currently being applied to our all-terrain wheelchair when it crosses the U.S. border.

Under normal circumstances this product is duty-free thanks to the CUSMA/USMCA trade agreement. Unfortunately, the new tariff overrides that exemption.
How it affects your price

The tariff has been built into the price you see at checkout : we pay the 25 % duty on your behalf when your Kartus clears customs, so you won’t get a surprise bill from the courier.

No additional taxes or brokerage fees are added on delivery beyond those normally charged in your state.

The increase is temporary. As soon as the tariff is lifted or reduced, we will immediately adjust U.S. prices—and we’ll let our community know the moment that happens.

Will my order be delayed because of the tariff?
No. The tariff is purely a cost issue; it does not add processing time at customs.
