Quebec City, Quebec, February 28, 2023 - Several runners and co-runners took part in the Winter Pentathlon last week in various challenges. We are honored that they chose Kartus for this event.

The week started off with a bang with several teams participating in the integration challenge, with several runners and co-runners. This participation was initiated by Aurélie Gicquel who was able to rely on Lévis’ Shared Runs organisation for the loan of equipment and for its transportation. She indicated that it was the first experience in Kartus for several participants, and a first time on the ice for others. The co-runners were Kimby Kistabish, Jennifer Ouellet, Anthony Binet, Samuel Bouchard-Vachon, Zacchary Rouleau and the runners were Aurélie Gicquel, Corentin Barthod, Myriam Reiss-De Palma, Rose Malchelosse, Romie Samson, Jean-Paul Trudeau, Julie Tousignant and Cynthia Denis. Note that this was Kimby Kistabish's third participation, the veteran of the Winter Pentathlon. The use of skis attached to the wheels greatly facilitated the task of the runners during the events.

Aurélie returned to Kartus racing during the 5km night race, accompanied by Sarah Dompierre and Jean-Paul Trudeau. It was a unique experience, and according to Aurélie, Sarah had "stars in her eyes" throughout the course, happy to meet the participants and volunteers present. At the same time, it was good training for Aurélie, who was preparing for the Iceman-Ultra on Sunday, a race consisting of 10km running, 40km skating and 25km cross-country skiing! The week of winter activities ended with the participation of the R.A.S. team in the corporate challenge with an inclusive team. The team could count on Sylvie and Samuel for the Kartus running event, graciously loaned by Canimex. You can read the team's report on the R.A.S. website.
